* trust option to indicate whether input text is trusted
* Revamp into trust contexts beyond just command
* Document new trust function style
* Fix screenshot testing
* Use trust setting in \url and \href
* Check `isTrusted` in `\url` and `\href` (so now disabled by default)
* Automatically compute `protocol` from `url` in `isTrusted`, so it
doesn't need to be passed into every context.
* Document untrusted features in support list/table
* Existing tests trust by default
* remove allowedProtocols and fix flow errors
* remove 'allowedProtocols' from documentation
* add a comment about a flow error, rename urlToProtocol to protocolFromUrl
* add tests test that use function version of trust option
* default trust to false in MathML tests
* fix test title, remove 'trust: false' from test settings since it's the default
* Define the nested version of ParseNodes structs explicitly.
Passes test:jest, but fails test:flow.
* Fix additional type errors reported by flow.
* Migrate rebased code from master.
* Rename ParseNode.js to parseNode.js.
* Update defineEnvironment output type to fix the flow errors in environment/array.js.
* Replace ParseNode<*> with a more accurate AnyParseNode and fix flow errors.
* Allow "array" environment type spec to use any all symbol type.
Before this commit, it was constrained to use "mathord" and "textord", but a
recent change in HEAD resulted in a "rel" node being used in the spec for, e.g.
\begin{array}{|l||c:r::}\end{array}
* Address reviewer comments: rename `lastRow` to `row` in array.js.
* Tag sketch
* Drop objectAssign; already using Object.assign elsewhere
* Basic \gdef support
* Bug fix
* Finish \tag
* MathML numbers equations with <mlabeledtr>
* Fix flow bugs
* \gdef tests
* Add basic \tag tests
* Screenshot test for \tag
* \tag* test
* Add missing file
* Bug fix screenshot
* Major refactor
* Represent tag at top level of parse tree, requiring less hackery
* No more \@tag function; it was essentially just doing \text
* Wrap tag in group so e.g. ( and ) are formatted the same
* Add `feed` method to MacroExpander for multiple inputs (for tag)
* Bug fixes in buildHTML, makeTextRow, _getBuilt (for display mode)
* Remove excess <mrow> wrapper when unnecessary
* Update screenshot from tag being wrapped in group
* Add maxExpand limit
* Strict setting controls \newline display-mode behavior
* Bug-fix space handling in macros
Whitespace after a \controlWord is now handled within the lexer, not by the
MacroExpander. This way, \\ expanding to \newline doesn't accidentally
cause spaces to get consumed.
* Rename nonstrict -> reportNonstrict; strictBehavior -> useStrictBehavior
* Second category of errorCodes
* Implement strict mode (replacing unicodeTextInMathMode)
Add new "strict" setting (default value false) that can take a boolean
(whether to throw an error or silently ignore), string ("ignore",
"warn", or "error"), or a function possibly returning such a value.
This enables a variety of ways of handling or ignoring transgressions
from "true" LaTeX behavior, making KaTeX easier to use while still
providing the ability for strict LaTeX adherance.
Resolve#1226, implementing that spec, for two existing
transgressions from regular LaTeX:
* src/functions/kern.js had some errors and warnings about use of
(units in) math vs. text mode commands.
* The former setting unicodeTextInMathMode (not in any released version)
needed to be set to true to enable Unicode text symbols in math mode.
Now these are controlled by the strict setting. By default, KaTeX is now
very permissive, but if desired, the user can request warnings or errors.
* Rewrite strict description
* Add tests for strict functions
* Stricter type for strict
* Switch default strict setting to "warn"
* Fix new flow error
* Fix another flow bug
* unicodeTextInMathMode setting
* When `unicodeTextInMathMode` is `true`, accented letters from
`unicodeSymbols.js`, and CJK and other supported languages,
get added support in math mode (as requested in #895).
* When `unicodeTextInMathMode` is `false, all of these stop working in
math mode, and are only supported in text mode (matching XeTeX behavior).
Note that this is a backwards incompatibility with some 0.9.0 alpha/betas.
* Fix handling of Unicode characters ð, Å, å
* Fix double handling of ð (math maps to \eth, not special Unicode character)
* Remove Åå special math handling, thanks to #1125
* Forbid extraLatin when unicodeTextInMathMode is false
* Initial webpack config. Moving to ES6 modules. Some module cleanup.

* Removing commented out code.
* Removing old deps.
* Removing the build script (used for testing).
* Working tests.
* Switching to node api over cli.
* Updating per comments. Still need to fix server.js to properly run the selenium tests.
* Cleaning up the config.
* More cleanup.
* Bringing back server.js for selenium tests.
* Bringing back old dependencies.
* Adding back eslint rules for webpack config. Final cleanup for webpack config.
* Pointing to correct pre-existing module versions. Adding some extra logic to server.js to ensure it gets transpiled properly.
* Getting make build to work again. Updating package.json with some shortcut scripts.
* Resolving conflict.
* Reverting back to commonjs modules.
* Removing extra spaces in babelrc
* To @flow: fontMetrics, fontMetricsData, Options, Settings, Style
* Don't overuse $Shape, improve type checking for fontMetrics*, make maxSize required in OptionsData and update callers.
* Remove eslintrc globals change, since eslint-plugin-flowtype makes it redundant.
* Remove extra ?s in Options and Settings
* Undo removal of width in fontMetrics and switch to `T | void` for nullable types in Options
* fix typing of FontMetrics
* Fix color support for stretchy, strikethrough, and fbox
Summary:
Stuff like `\red{\overbrace{AB}}` works now in addition to `\color{red}{\overbrace{AB}}`. Strikethrough now respects color. The Firefox in the screenshotter doesn't seem to support `background-image` + `mask`, but I manually tested that the latest Firefox does.
Test plan:
Ran `make`, then tested in latest Chrome and Firefox to ensure color support was working, then ran `make screenshots`.
* Add a maxSize option to limit user-specified sizes (#109)
* Simplify maxSize logic and add unit test
* Clamp negative maxSize to zero
* Use a default maxSize of infinity to remove branching in calculateSize
* Add babel transform-class-properties to have static class properties
* Upgrade Lexer and Parser files to use ES6 classes
* Update eslint max line length to 90 character (more indent because of using ES6 classes)
* Upgrade eslint and jasmin to support ES stage-2 features
* Use static properties to place constants near their functions
* Migrate all remaining sources to ES6 syntax
* Increase eslint max line length to 84
* Remove non-babelified endpoint in dev server.js
* Clean up server.js functions after removing browserified
* Make screenshotter not to use babel endpoint as we babelify everything now
* Introduce MacroExpander
The job of the MacroExpander is turning a stream of possibly expandable
tokens, as obtained from the Lexer, into a stream of non-expandable tokens
(in KaTeX, even though they may well be expandable in TeX) which can be
processed by the Parser. The challenge here is that we don't have
mode-specific lexer implementations any more, so we need to do everything on
the token level, including reassembly of sizes and colors.
* Make macros available in development server
Now one can specify macro definitions like \foo=bar as part of the query
string and use these macros in the formula being typeset.
* Add tests for macro expansions
* Handle end of input in special groups
This avoids an infinite loop if input ends prematurely.
* Simplify parseSpecialGroup
The parseSpecialGroup methos now returns a single token spanning the whole
special group, and leaves matching that string against a suitable regular
expression to whoever is calling the method. Suggested by @cbreeden.
* Incorporate review suggestions
Add improvements suggested by Kevin Barabash during review.
* Input range sanity checks
Ensure that both tokens of a token range come from the same lexer,
and that the range has a non-negative length.
* Improved wording of two comments
Also, the MathBb-chrome test changed, to what I believe is the correct
result? Not sure why it looked wrong before.
Test plan:
- `make test`
- take screenshots, see nothing changed.
Summary:
Add the ability to pass in options to the render calls which contain information about the parse. This information is passed around to the parser and builder, which parse and render differently depending on the options. Currently, this includes an option to render the math in display mode (i.e. centered, block level, and in displaystyle).
Also added some changes to make it easier to add new data to functions (now that new data doesn't need to be copied into the ParseFuncOrArg data structure, it is looked up when it is needed) and has more sane support for the `'original'` argType (as suggested by pull request #93).
Test Plan:
- Make sure tests and lint pass
- Make sure huxley screenshots didn't change, and new screenshot looks correct
